Michael means: Who is like God ?
He is the big ruler of the heavenly hosts and the protector of the Christian church as well as the fighter of all the forces which are hostile against God. He is especially called on as the advocate of the souls during as well as after death.
Saint of the Catholic Church, of the German people, the poor souls, the chemists, the businessmen, the bakers, the bank employees, the radio experts and so on.
The woodcarved figure is elaborated accurately and artistically painted. The wings and parts of the coat are covered with real gold.
